um..
you DO know that a valve is what lets air out of the cannon, right?

a compressor puts air INTO it

the blowguns are there to exaust air from the valve, not to fill the cannon up thru...
Anyways, i have a cannon (6' of 2" pipe) and i fill it up to 80+ consistently with a bikepump, so if you were asking if you had to use a compressor to fill it up, then the answer is no.

its not going to be as fast as a blowgun will be for exausting the air from the valve, thats for sure.

chances are, it's only a schrader valve with the metal section on the top removed, so you can depress the the little thing inside of it (i really dont know what that part is actually called) without having to stick anything inside the schrader valve to push it down

It's a valve stem core, and valves can be used for filling and deflateing, (fill valve/exhaust valve). Just depends on what your doing with it, is what you name it. If you were to use say a ball valve inbetween what ever type air pump and chamber, that would allow fast filling, (cut the end off the say bike pump hose and join it to the ball valve with a screw clamp)???? Get what i'm trying to conva???

Yes it is better if your useing sprinkler valves, vents large volume of air pass through quickly, thus makeing a faster opening valve.

Correct, just drill and tap the sprinkler valve, normuly 1/4", add some hose to make it remote, attach the blow gun--Waalaa, you have your modded valve and trigger. Make sure you take the sprinkler valve apart 1st, to avoid damageing the diaphram inside, it's all in spudwiki. You just have to look it up.

Takes longer to fill from pilot side, he's asking for a way to fill fast. Correct me if i'm wrong.
