Ok. So I'm very new to this website/forum... And before I build a gun I want to figure out what some of the parts do and how they work.
Can somebody explain the blow gun valve and how it works?
Thanks
Blow gun valve help
It's just a simple push button valve. It generally has 1/4" NPT input and 1/8" NPT output. They can be modified to produce more flow if necessary.
This valve has two primary uses. The first is to pilot small piston / diaphragm valves and to pilot modified sprinkler valves. The next is to provide airflow to a bbmg. The last time I used one was for a propane meter for a combustion launcher.
If you are interested in modifying this valve, you can search the site. Also, you can download my book called The Sprinkler Valve (found in the Hubb Library of the wiki - linked in my sig). It demonstrates the most common method for modifying blowgun valves - as well as providing information on the sprinkler valve.

Inside is a little stem with a sealing face on it.It covers a hole.It is held in place by a spring. Can somebody explain the blow gun valve and how it works?
Push in the stem and the sealing face is pushed away from the hole it normally covers..
Air can now pass through.
The stem is pushed by a lever on the outside to make it easier on your fingers.
Does that answer your questions?
Have a look in the spud wiki for more explanations on other parts.
The button is in the top of the page.
Welcome and good luck!
