2" piston valve porting question

Cannons powered by pneumatic pressure (compressed gas) using a valve or other release.

I'm building a 2" Tee piston valve for a golf ball gun. I want to put a bushing on the bottom port of the tee to make it detachable incase I want to take it off for any reason. But it will have a 2" chamber, so the smaller hole leading to the barrel through the bushing, will that limit power? And what would be the easy solution?

Threaded Tee, I think I saw some with only the bottom port threaded
That is all.

Yeah I was thinking of that... Good idea. Slip by thread tee should work. My bad... dumb post.

Or instead of a bushing just use a 2" threaded adpater. Bad thing about those is that they will greatly increase the distance between chamber and barrel.

Ehh yeah I wouldn't do that because the design is similar to yours, with the stock, so it would be really awkward with that sticking off the bottom.

Or not.

Those places are rip offs.

Those fittings cost 2 bucks at a store. And you don't pay shipping at a store. It ends up being 5 times as much as you need to pay for a damn fitting. Anyway that fitting wouldn't even help me!

I'd say to make the chamber porting (bushing) the same or greater size than your barrel port, and you'll be fine.

If you want to use a 2" threaded connection, though, find a 2xn" SCH-80 PVC threaded nipple, and cut past one set of threads the same socket depth as the bottom of the tee. This makes for a compact male connector, but you may have trouble finding the right nipple. I have to drive about 45 minutes to buy mine.

Those fittings are actually pretty difficult to find for one, you won't find them at your average hardware store like home depot(why do you think he sells them?), and secondly, for the problem MR.C described it would reduce the length between the chamber and barrel thus making a more appealing cannon.

I dug up a picture of what I was talking about (I suspected I had it lurking on my camera).

Jsr basically that's a large nipple correct? If you want gun freak all you have to do is buy some o rings and some machine screws and you can attach it however you want.
Yeah, it's that important.
