Self opening ball valve question?

When you begin to open a ball valve does the in rushing pressurized air help the BV to open further?

Short answer, no. There are no significant forces on rotational parts to advance the opening. Ball valves are used in irrigation sprinkler systems. They can easily be set for lower flow to reduce pressure and range. They pretty much remain where they are set.
