Airsoft spreadshot cartridge?

I wanted to make an airsoft spreadshot fire out of my pnuematic. Basically how could i make something like this? i tried searching i didnt find anything unless im blind. All i found was bbmgs. I remember seeings once some kind of thing made of styrofoam cups but i lost it. Thanks in advance.

If your using 1.5" pipe which is standard, take a milk cap, put it at the bottom of the barrel, pour some bb's in, then jam another milk cap down the barrel to keep the bb's from coming out. Milk jug caps fit perfectly.

for the spreadshot im using 1 inch. But the milk caps take to long to reload anyway... has anyone seen the cup idea i was talking about.

Now my problem is that these plans are for 2 inch barrel, which I do have but i would prefer to use a 1 inch and i am unsure as to what to use for the wadding section/bottom of the cartridge, and thoughts?[/url]

well something you could do is make a semi-permanent sabot out of bondo, and put a connector at the end of your barrel so that the saboy cannot fly out...it will stop at the end, but the BB's ontop can be released...and vent holes could be drilled on the barrel end so gasses can escape after the sabbot has stopped.

Okay doctawattage, what are you talking about? Stopping a projectile at full speed?! Well fist of all that would break you end of the barrel and if that didnt happen the bondo woould break after the second shot. All in all its an idea but keep trying.

if u really want fast, big reloadable cartridges i was thinking of using atlantis' idea with the milk caps but a toilet paper tube fits perfectly between the two milk caps, i would hope the thing fell apart in mid flight though. so milk cap, toilet paper tube, milk cap. and u cud even make shorter and longer tube sections for more rounds, or even a paper towel tube.

well, i've got some 40mm grenade casings laying around, i was thinking of making a spreadshot cartridge for airsoft with them, they have several holes in them, so they could work, you should be able to find them on ebay, i dont know how much they run, but with a bit of machining they could work with a hammer valve setup
