good or bad piston idea ?

No this is going in a 3" tee haha I'm using the soup can as a piston haha I just cut it in half to show what I'm pitting in the piston

To me it looks like it won't work at all.

1. When piloted, the soup can might move but the seal will stay in place because the spring is not strong enough to unseat it.

2. In the unlikely event that the sealing face unseats, the barrel will be covered by the soup can, resulting in massive flow restriction.

So are you saying that I should get a stronger spring or just forget about this idea

Like it is now I would say forget about it.

What do you try to achieve with this design?

Being completely honest laziness by not getting the end of the barrel as square as possible

So get the end of the barrel more square, and use a simpler piston. This one will probably have serious difficulties piloting and deforming the sealing face.

I think it is safe to say that this is not safe at all!! My suggestion would be back to the drawing board my friend!! You definatly get an A ++ for effort though!!
