Does a longer barrel add distance ?

I built a cannon it's got 4 and a half feet of 3 inch reduced to 2 inch then reduced to 1 inch then a 1 inch ball valve then 1 inch increased to two inch increased to 3 to about 6 inches of 3 inch barrel if I were to make it a 2 and a half foot barrel would it make it shoot further? Yes,

Barrel length increases the distance... That the ammo has to travel before it leaves the barrel.

My reccomendation is to use the spudfiles search for the term GGDT to familiarize yourself with the gas gun design tool. This is a great program for beginners to get used to optimization of their pneumatic spudgun!

Still a balance between the increased time the ammo is pushed by the air versus overcoming the frictio of the barrel.

Mac? Windows? if Windows... windows vista/7? if so you'll need to right click on the .exe file and click run in compatibility mode.

there is no .exe file

You have to run ggdt as a administrator or it will not work
