Hello im new here and i was wondering how powerful the pneumatic cannons are. Im lookin for something to have fun with. I see one pneumatic cannon shoot through 1/2" plywood. How powerful do they have to be in order to do this. Im new here and i have only been around combustion cannons and i have never seen a pneumatic cannon. Im just wondering how powerful the simple ones are and how far they shoot....

Also where do you guys buy your pipe at. Here at the local hardware store the only sch4 pressure rated pipe is up to 2". They dont carry anything else.... They have from 1/2" to 2" thats it. Where do you guys get your 3" and 4" pipe at...

Sorry for the long question. Im just excited to be here..lol..

Thanks
Chirs

You could try copper or metal pneumatics. They are far more powerfull due to the higher pressure they can have.

I have one build (my second and last so far), have a look. It shoots trough a 3 cm thick wooden plate at a distance of 25 meters. Afterwards it hit the metal gate 50 meters further, and denced the iron pipe of the gate. (oops) I shoot marbles. Best ammo ever.
