question for a sprinkler valve

if i have a 4" chamber go into a 1" sprinkler valve and then a 2.5" barrel
will the valve be able to release the pressure fast enough?

ok thanks i just wasn't sure if it woud release air fast enough since it is only 1 inch

1in is the biggest I have seen

Yes, s prinkler valves make pretty good main valves, you should mod it for better preformance, and a cooler looking trigger.

A 1" valve most likely will not be sufficient. Try at least a 1.5" valve.

The bigger the valve the better the flow so bigger is way better.

well, there isnt much of a diff in the internals of a 3/4 vs. a 1", the only diff is the porting.

but i would go for a 1.5 like ben said.

they should fit both. i have mine on pvc.

so you can just solvent weld them and it will work fine? they dont sell them i 1/2'' do they i looked but couldnt find em

no sprinklers don't come in 1/2. you don't solvent weld a sprinkler you put teflon tape around 2 male treads. thread em in and solvent weld those to your pipe.

Use two 1" modded valves, that would look cool.
