This is my new plan for replacing my cannon. The chamber will be a single 100 inch long piece of 5 inch pipe which gives me around 455 cubic inches of air storage. I am using a single supah valve, becuase its all I have and then for a barrel I am going to use a 143 inch piece of 3 inch pipe. The primary ammo will be full soda cans and according to GGDT it will launch them a range of 969 ft at a 36 degree angle. This is at 100psi and with that it will have a muzzle energy of 1209 ft lbs, an M16 has 1360 ft lbs. I have a couple of questions, how expensive is that much pipe and also how much CO2 will be needed to fill the tank each time? And any ideas of a cart would be much appreciated. That sums it up, this is my summer project

The 5" x 100" piece shouldn't be more than $50 at the most, and the barrel might be more expensive, because you would need to buy it in a 20' length.
By the way, a 5"x100" chamber has about 1964 cubic inches of air storage, not 455...

Lots of CO2! CO2 is bad!!! Lol, but anyways a lot of carbono dioxidous. Why not use air, other that the high pressure needed. Sounds like a hell of a gun! Good luck. Spud

Ok well the volume number is what GGDT told me so I will double check that. And 50 bucks for some 5 inch pipe??! Thats a lot, I may go with double sections of 3 inch pipe instead. And why is C02 bad? I dont have a big air compressor, so its easier.

I use Co2 on all my cannons because it is simple and portable. I like quick multiple shots in the field instead of getting one shot and having to fill from a bike pump or compressor. Faster and more convienent in my opinion.
