can i mod this 2 inch valve?

ok i got this 2 inch valve its a irritrol the model is 700 Series i think. heres a picture. i just want to know if its mod able. i can take some pictures of it disasembled if i need to.

Dis assembled would help alot. Alsmost every sprinkler is mod able even i fit has a guide rod.

What are you oging to use this big sprinkler for?

yea my dad works for a sprinkler company and he got it for me. ill get some pictures of it disasembled asap.

ill probably use it for a golf ball cannon

yup, looks like a sprinkler valve.......

if you could make a new top for it you could, but as it is i think it would be tricky.

the problem isnt that you cant, it just that there is that thing in the way. if you can move you can mod it. does it screw off?

Thats a nice valve, better flow than most sprinkler valves, and probably even better than a piston valve of that size.

Just find a nice solid place to drill and tap so you can screw a blowgun in. If you haven't modded a valve before I would suggest doing a cheap one first so you can get the hang of it.

I have modded 2"-50mm sprinkler valves before.And the best place to put the pilot valve is were the flow control knob is.A blowgun does work but you get VERY poor performance I suggest the use of a 1/4 ball valve,they work a charm.

ok thanks for all the help. yea i have modded several 1 inch valves before but didnt know if the bigger 2 inch would have anything that would make it un mod able. yes that center screw thing does just screw right out so i could put the 1/4 inch ball valve right there.
