question about pipe.

ok well this question is about the dwv pipe i went to lowes earlier and noticed it said that on alot of fittings so ive heard that if it says somthin on the pipe that you should use it for spud guns. any clarification on this would be great

For fittings, you need either NSF-pw or NSF-61. Any pipe with a pressure rating written on it is fine. If it says DWV but also has a pressure rating, it's still OK.

Even if it's DWV with no rating it should be ok. There is a chance of failure, but it's very slim. Just make sure you don't use anything stronger than propane, and dont hold it next to your ear when firing.

How can you assume he wants to make a combustion?

Don't use DWV pipe, spend the extra few bucks and get pressure rated pipe, even if it's for your chamber. The barrel it wouldnt matter as much though.

Mmm...good point. I always assume people are building combustions unless they specify otherwise, not sure why. Yeah, if they actually have pressure-rated PVC there, go ahead and use it.

well i have sdr 21 i got from pimpmann and its sleeved in 2 inch sch 40 or 80 i dont remember. im going to use 3 inch pipe as the chamber and a 2 inch sprinkler vavle to actuate it. its obviously going to be a pnumatic. thanks for all you guys help.
