Hi all,
I came up with this idea after watching the mythbusters episode.I've already made the piston valve so if it won't work then i won't have gone too far in.
I am going to weld all the Metal tubing together.
It doesn't have to work extremely well its only very small more like a proof of concept type thing.A range of 7 feet or above is excellent.5 feet or above would be good.i dont mind how far it goes just as long as it goes further than a metre.
Mini Steam Cannon.

you could hook up the piston to a crankshaft and have a full auto steam cannon

Then again, imagine a pneumatic with a 3" barrel and a 6" chamber firing 3" diameter spitballs.. Hmmmm *goes to draw up some plans..*

I just realize I have an untested steam cannon sitting in my back yard from last year.
On a semi-related note, does anyone know what I can use to contain molten salt? It eats through steel coffee cans like playdoe.

After thinking about that mythbusters episode, I couldn't help but think about how much fun a spud gunner would have in that warehouse. (Not the mention the budget somewhere in the thousands)

I found I could easily punch through a corrugated cardboard box using wet issue loaded in my 3/4" piston launcher, scary stuff.Modderxtrordanare wrote:Then again, imagine a pneumatic with a 3" barrel and a 6" chamber firing 3" diameter spitballs.. Hmmmm *goes to draw up some plans..*
