Today, during a very boring double period(1h20) of Physical Sciences, I decided to open my pen. What I found was beautiful. It was a metal ink cartridge. When I got home a measured it on a vernier caliper as exactly 6mm (dont know in inches) which fits perfectly, and I mean perfectly, into the TV arial tubing. The tubing isnt very strong though, so I will be looking for another barrel. Its weight is 4 grams according to my scale and 84mm long.
If every you see a pen, look to see if its cartridge is "goliath size", then steal it!
Here it is:

also just too let all you know I belive mcmasters sells DD and DDD bateries which are pretty much 2 or 3 D bateries conected end to end

I have found an ink cartrige similar to that exept it was made of plastic. The dimensions are almost the same.

Hahaha, nice! Only a spudgunner would do such a thing!

Its like your golden ammo (which is neatly hidden) you get for completing a solvent weld course (i.e. you are now responsible to shoot)

OK, so I found out that this fits into the same diameter barrel as 6mm airsoft BB's so I think I might make a "dual-ammo" gun.
What do you guys think?

Yes. If you ever have a spare All metal chair with hollow legs what you cand do is cut about a 5 cm section from one of the legs and then you tape up one end fill it with sand and then tape up the other end it works well out of a 2cm barrel if anyone uses them. :D

OK, so I have found some 8mm OD, 6mm ID steel tubing, so I guess the project begins...
How long do you think a decent barrel length is for a +-150 PSI pen cartridge gun? I was thinking aproximately 250mm (10") or more. Any suggestions?
