In short: It's not really legal to do it, but it is definitely certainly frowned upon - however, if the cops start fussing about you damaging a few bucks of pennies, ask them how much money in the country is counterfeit.
(Unfortunately, the latest estimates for the UK believe up to 2% of pound coins are counterfeit, which isn't helping the financial crisis.)
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

I had a similar thing happen when I shot a milk jug full of water with my golfball cannon... It left a nice golfball imprint on a piece that tore off... I still keep it in my room

Of course, during this nasty recession, that law is kinda silly. After all, the effect of printing more money to cover government debt just devalues the currency right? So, you think they'd want to encourage the population to destroy bills/coins in order to raise the value of the dollar. Heck, shooting pennies as ammo could even be looked at as a patriotic act!Ragnarok wrote:The subject has come up before. BTW, what are you shooting in that pic? Can you show us a larger version of it?
Sorry for the brief Hijack...but frank is R. Lee..........isn't he?
this isnt illegal because your not intentionally defacing the money, it might not even damage it, and on that note are those machines at the zoo that squash your penny into an oval with a picture technically illegal?tape fist wrote:i think is illegal to deface money thought.
