I was wondering if an one had thought of making a rectangular barrel for a pneumatic that would shoot disks...pennies would be a cheap and easy ammo something like that.
And I would think they would be fairly accurate too.... just some food for thought...

The problem with a rectangular barrel is the low surface area available for the air to act on, as was discussed here.

However, there are other ways around the problem ;)

It would be cheap for the first shots, but after a period of years wouldnt it end up being quite an expensive gun?

cool paying from 100m distance :D
but how to get a barrel that fits them exactly ?
and yes it would be expansive
and if you throw a piece of carton (try) then it doesn't fly in one line so wouldn't this happen to the penny ?
but just try to make a proto type so you can see what will happen
and you can still make lead slugs to have cheap ammo
